Start your day off with the video guide.

Reading:The House that Jane Built

- Start off by listening to this read aloud of The House that Jane Built by Tanya Lee Stone. As you listen, think about what kind of person Jane is and what makes her special and unique. 

- After listening, answer these comprehension questions. If you need to, you can always go back and listen to the story again. 

 

Writing:  

- Think about Jane Addams and her life to help you answer this question.

- Yesterday was Palm Sunday which marks the beginning of Holy Week. Watch this video showing the story of Palm Sunday.

- After watching, think about this reflection question: Why do you think some people were upset with how Jesus entered into Jerusalem?

- Read this fiction passage about a Chicago Cubs baseball game. Then, answer the comprehension questions.

- Answer Section 1: Why are friends and family so important? Be sure to use complete sentences and to provide details.

Math: 

- We are continuing to work on Khan Academy. Your login information can be found here

- Today you should complete the following activities:

     * Measuring rectangles with different square units

     * Find area by counting unit squares

Science: 

- Decomposers help to break down dead and decaying matter. They are an important part of food chains. Read more about them here

- Read about how food chains can make a full circle when decomposers are added here. Then try and think of your own example!

Religion:

- This Thursday is Holy Thursday when Jesus and the disciples gather together for the Last Supper. Watch these videos to see the story of the Last Supper and Jesus washing the disciples' feet.

- Think about it: Why do you think Peter refused to have Jesus wash his feet at first?

- After Holy Thursday, we have Good Friday. Watch this video to see the story of Jesus' sacrifice. 

- Reflection:

     * What do you think Jesus was thinking about as he carried his cross? 

     * Jesus is the son of God and could have saved himself. Why didn't He save himself when he was on the cross?
